Prospective Borrowers
Interested principals who would like CiF to consider their projects for funding should prepare an executive summary to submit to CiF for review, which includes the following:
- Overview—Please include a brief statement summarizing the project, the industry, location, the timeline for project funding and completion, contracts or commitments already in place, and description of the principals or entities involved in the project, as well as the approximate amount of funding requested from CiF. Please note that CiF has a minimum funding threshold of $10million per project. All projects must be located within Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
- Job Creation—Each project must create a minimum of 20 permanent jobs for US workers per $1million of CiF funds used. Please describe the types of positions to be created and how the project will show the requirements can be met.
- Regional Impact—In addition to jobs created, please provide a statement as to how this project will positively impact the region for the long term.
- Public Funding—All CiF projects must include a substantial public sector funding component. This can be in the form of grants, loans, tax credits, and the like. This and other funding sources should be described in the summary as well as an indication of the amount of funds being sought from CiF.
- FBE/MBE Requirements—All CiF projects must meet the City of Cleveland’s 5/15 program guidelines for Female and Minority Business Enterprise participation. Please detail how your project will meet these requirements.
Please send your completed summary in PDF format and contact information to projects@ClevelandInternationalFund.com. Our team will review your summary and contact you with our determination.
